Stylish Retreat in Central Leeds

I stayed a week there for work purposes. Great location, very close to the center. The common areas are atrocious. Evidence of drug use, rat (singular as I just saw one), trash on the floor at every floor, paint everywhere on the carpet. The flat itself is way better. Clean enough, even though the couch was stained and not clean. Bedroom was clean, there a lot of space. Great bathroom and shower. The problem with the flat is everything looks good but a lot is missing. There no cleaning product (not even dish soap). There is a dishwasher but no dishwasher tablet. Washing machine with no pods. Not a broom or hoover. Communication with the managing team was good via WhatsApp.

Although we booked for this property, we did not get to stay in it. We received no booking information prior to our stay on how to access the apartment, the number you get in order to contact the host is in Pakistan. When I rang them and requested the details they said they would send them, I then got a message saying the apartment we booked had an issue and they were providing alternative accommodation - not ideal. Everything in the alternative apartment was switched off, I.e fridge/ freezer (so our food defrosted in the time we waited for the appliances to re-freeze) , there was someone else’s rubbish still in the apartment, the chair was missing a leg, the bidet tap was hanging out the wall and there were no towels (although the towels was rectified quickly). There was also a fight in the apartment opposite (I appreciate this is not the hosts fault), however it resulted in the police arriving. As well as coming and knocking on our apartment in the morning and requesting details. For the price we paid, we were hoping for a higher standard but essentially got a glorified student accommodation, we wouldn’t book here again.

Clean, modern, comfortable flat ~10 minutes walk from the centre of the city. Quiet location and good value.

Virtually nothing not to like - communal corridors/stairs could have done with a vacuum but within the flat it was all lovely.
