Maison de Sophie

We loved our stay at Maison de Sophie. The apartment is very comfortable with good space, lots of closet space, well equipped kitchen. The 10 steps up to the apartment are pretty steep so not for the mobility challenged. The location is just superb. Lots a restaurants right around the corner and within 7 minute walk to the main square. The owners are responsive, helpful and very kind. A great place to stay in Ostuni!

We could have used a tea towel for the kitchen and a pot with a lid for soup and sauce. Directions on using the gas stove and the TV would be helpful.

L’appartamento si trova in una posizione centrale, moderno e confortevole. Ci siamo trovati davvero bene. Francesco e Antonella sono stati molto gentili, ci hanno accolto con entusiasmo e ci hanno dato ottimi consigli.

Aanrader om te verblijven in Ostuni. We kregen een warmte ontvangst, het verblijf was proper en hygiënisch en de locatie was een topper met gratis parking in de buurt. je zit vlakbij het oude gedeelte en met uitzicht op het panorama van Ostuni waar 's ochtends de zon op komt. We hebben hier een fijne tijd beleeft.

The apartment was very spacious and right at the center of Ostuni. We really liked the kitchen. The house was overall very clean. The hosts were very friendly and kind. Although it was in the front of a very busy street, it was rather quiet when the doors and windows were closed.

There were some items missing from the kitchen, like kitchen towels, paper towels. Very limited number of cooking pots, just only 1 milk cup, no aluminium foil... A family with small kids usually expects to find these. Also only 2 toilet paper rolls for 1 week.. We are sure the hosts will take care of these issues for the next hosts. Beds were OK, double bed mattress, too soft for our liking..

Antonella and Francesco are such lovely people. The place was gynormous, awesome value, great location not only for the centre of town, but equally important, the giant paid parking lot is very close for when I did day trips. My favourite part. They let me drop off my bags very shortly after the previous person checked out so I could pile all my dirty laundry in a bag and walk over to the laundry place. By the time I was done I was ready to check in. A massive, massive time saver and great act of kindness. Antonella is also really helpful on questions/recommendations you might need for restos and the like.

Just be careful when you walk out the front door and head uphill to the main street. Cars and motor bikes are coming up and in certain spots the road isn't wide enough for you and a car for you to coexist peacefully. This should not be a deterrent at all for how great the place is. Just be careful

Il posto centrale dell' appartamento, la casa tipica puglianese con il suo soffitto rotondo di pietre, la gentilezza dei nostri ospiti, Antonella e suo marito che ci hanno dato iuta ogni volta che gliela abbiamo chiesta. Un soggiorno molto piacevole da racommandare.

L'attrezzatura de la cucina era rudimentale, da completare un po.

Spacious apartment near center of the town. With obliging host who lives in floor ground and responses very quickly. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable rooms even if you are tall as me (almost 2 m).

Just be aware that front door is hard to open and stove has only option for gas. It wasn't a problem for us but for someone it can be.
