The Yellow House

Das Haus war durch Unwetterschäden unbewohnbar geworden. Durch die Agentur wurde uns vor Ort ein anderes Quartier vermittelt, das sehr angenehm war.

The location of this property was perfect being a 5 minute walk from the main town with restaurants and bars and a 10 minute walk to the train station. The neighbourhood was quiet and safe with a lovely local bar just down the road which was friendly and welcoming. The house is typical Portuguese style which was lovely and had plenty of room for the two of us. The small roof terrace was lovely with some great views over the town and out to the river and salt plains.

As our stay was in December the house was cold at night as no heating other than a small heater. This warmed the bedroom fine and we had extra blankets. Our host did say to let her know if we are too cold but once we were in for a few days the house did get warmer. I think another heater would have been beneficial if we were staying any longer. The hot water is also a bit hit and miss at times.
