This homestay is literally 20 meters from the rice terraces. If you walk 5 minutes you are in the middle of it. You can make fantastic hikes, also up the mountain with beautiful views. Vilma is the best and most welcoming host we had in the philippines, she is really taking care of you! The room is small but the house is spotless, good warm shower (there are enough showers/toilets), coffee/tea during the day and the meals are really great for a very friendly price. There is a terrace to sit and just enjoy the quiet environment. Be aware there is only a very small shop around, so bring whatever you need from Bontoc. The homestay can be reached easily with a jeepney, just a 30 minutes ride, which depart 4 times a day from the central market (side street) in Bontoc. You will be dropped in front of the house!

vilma was so welcoming - it’s a big comfortable space with a indoor bathroom and shower with a garden view over the valley. vilma provided us with non stop free tea and coffee and cooked us the loveliest meal and breakfasts. In the morning Vilma was up early to direct us to a very pleasant walk around the rice fields Vilma is so happy to help with all your questions. I hope lots more tourists start to visit this area again to help their local economy and experience the beautiful views .

note that there’s no wifi and reception for Philippines sim is also limited - it was nice to be disconnected for a while! the only way to reach the property is by a jeepney from Bontoc - they are a really infrequent only 2 in the morning and a couple in the afternoon - if you arrive in Bontoc after about 5pm you will have to overnight there and wait for the morning jeepney to Vilmas.

The hospitality was superb. We really felt at home, we really had home vibes. The tea and coffee was amazing. Home cook food by manang Vilma was great. The whole house was tidy and clean..it was a great experience at Vilma homestay.👍☺️

Best homestay we've been! Vilma is such a lovely and caring person, she cooked us 3 meals a day (breakfast at 5:45 am) and her dog Tyson guided us through the rice terraces. Comfy bed, nice little room, beautiful terrace to enjoy coffee and really good food. Love to visit her and her homestay again!

Vilma is a great host. She is super nice. Always smiling. Always helping. She even cooked meals for us and she is a fantastic cook.

The place is far. Data signal is erratic.

ate wilma is very accommodating. we enjoyed our stay there .. we love the native rice ate wilma prepared for us and we even take home our left over of the rice. lol…

Comfortable bed in a beautiful wooden newly renovated room Warm shower Always clean bathroom Beautiful views Many activities around Endless coffee Delicious breakfasts and dinners cooked by Ms. Vilma Rice terraces around (no matter when you arrive, they all harvest in different months so you will always find green ones) This was by far the best homestay l have ever been to, Vilma is lovely and friendly and I felt at home immediately upon arrival. I stayed for 3 nights and I honestly have to say that Maligcong has so much to offer - walks along the rice terraces to other villages, day trips to Sagada, climbing Mt Kupapey or other places for sunrise... Maligcong is a perfect base spot for visiting the Mountain Province and I really recommend coming here and staying at Vilma's for multiple nights, you will get a super nice local experience and will definitely love coming back. The place is really clean. It’s the closest homestay going to Mt. Kufafey and to the scenic terraces.

If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place, this is the place to go! Vilma is adorable, the rooms, in a small house reserved for guests, are impeccable, and the food excellent!
