Harbour View Guest House

The room was meticulously clean and very well appointed as was the small kitchen and bathroom. The breakfast room was a delight as were the many options offered by the proprietor . We were also helped with useful information on shops and restaurants.

The property is located with a steep climb and decent to and from the town. It made the scene from the property quite lovely onto the old harbour. If you have mobility concerns, having nothing to do with the property itself, just be aware of the location.

We had previously read a number of reviews before booking and we didn’t find any that came across negative so we decided to go for this one and we are very happy we did . Only thing we were worried about was parking but we able to park at the property which was a bonus for us . ( There is a car park nearby so no need to worry . ) Excellent communication leading up to our trip all sent through email we can not fault this property and we’ve already put in our dates for the summer to spend our birthdays next year there . Overall exceptionally happy would definitely recommend this property .

very smart, cute place, ideal for a couple, up to date, great view, great location

shower was switching between boiling hot or freezing cold so was hard to get ready, the noise from the young neighbours early hours

Beautifully kept property, close to the city centre and the beach. They really tried to preempt all our needs and had everything that you can think of in the room. There were lots of cold food options for breakfast. There is also a common area to chill out in and have a cup of coffee or tea was which was a bonus.

The shower was not draining properly.

Re breakfast : there was plenty of choice and it was good to have a mix of savoury ( cheese , meat and avocado )food as well and traditional cereals . Found the coffee machine difficult to work as there were no instructions and I don’t use this type at home .

Slightly disappointed in the bedroom - cheap curtain material and nets needing to be replaced . Dressing table mirror too low even when sitting down : overall feeling of being cramped when in the room . More hooks needed for hanging clothes if staying more than one night and having special occasion outfits to hang up . Felt very exposed in downstairs room especially at night when lights on . Shutters ??

Everything. The lounge with wine was a huge bonus on a busy bank holiday weekend with it being hard to find a place without prior booking.

Good location everything was clean and tidy got towels bathrobe kettle toaster fridge milk cereal tea sugar in room would definitely stop there again

Could not get Netflix to work on the tv
