RIVA DI SCIROCCO

Every home comfort was provided. It was clean, nicely decorated, spacious and very comfortable. The location was great, just behind Corso Roma so at the heart of everything. The host very thoughtfully even provided local wine and biscuits, cleaning products, coffee and kitchen essentials and a Netflix login. We have stayed in many many holiday rentals in Gallipoli and this is the only that we would be happy to return to.

Antonio os such great host. He gave a lot information of Gallipoli and surrounding cities and attractions, what food specialties of the region you should try and where the best restaurants are. The apartment is very roomy with two bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. The apartment is in the city center and just 5 minutes walk to the old city.

Excellent WiFi. My girlfriend works remotely and the WiFi worked very well. She was able to run meetings, upload and download documents without any issues. The apartment is very roomy, clean, comfortable and modern. Has 3 AC units, washer, 2 bathrooms, nice/reasonably sized showers. I would describe the bed as firm and comfortable, which I like. Also has an elevator, so great for luggage. It's practically located next to the bridge entering into the old town, so its only a 5-10 minute walk to the island. Also, we found the newer part of the town to be very enjoyable for walking, eating and shopping. We found plenty of parking (paid/free) nearby. Since it was late September, we were mostly successful with finding avaliable free parking. The owner Antonio, provided outstanding recommendations on where to go, where to eat, and what to do. I had my own itinerary before arriving, but his was much better. He provides great and timely communication. Since he speaks English, this also made things convenient very convenient. Also, his own personal artwork is on display in the apartment. Very wonderful and awesome experience.

The host Antonio is so kind and helpful. The apartment - unusual in our experience - is huge with comfortable seating. There is even Netflix. There were very welcome items in the cupboard; coffee, salt, balsamic, oil. Kettle was useful. Fabulous efficient air-conditioning in the sitting room and bedrooms. The top benefit here is the helpful host - he and his lovely family drove us to beautiful Lecce one evening as we didn't have a car. It's a ten minute walk to the town beach - sandy with clear water. You can rent sunbeds and parasols for very reasonable prices. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby and plenty in the old town. It's a lively beach town but the apartment is in a side street and we were never bothered by noise. We would definitely stay here again but maybe with a car to explore more of Puglia.

The mattress doesn't fit the bed frame - would rather have a slightly thinner bed frame as we kept bumping into it in the dark. A minor point really - not a big problem.

Great and clean apartment with all you need and great location. Very helpful host who send us great recommendations for trips and restaurants. Will definitely recommend this place.
