We felt very welcome with our dog, and we loved the idyllic rural location by the river. It was so peaceful with just soft natural sounds as we awoke in the morning.

The location is on a quiet farm, 15 minutes out of Whanganui. For us, it was the perfect stop to decompress.

"Peaceful and Private Getaway"

A lovely setting, very homely and yet private. The hosts were wonderful and the accommodation was very comfortable. Paul cooked a great meal which was better than the meal we had the following night out at a restaurant. So filling we had to pass on dessert. Karen was terrific at keeping us informed and making us feel right at home. Her homemade marmalade lime is amazing. This only confirms in my mind that motels simply can't compare. Looking forward to coming back.

Not much to dislike, really. They are aiming to improve the internet which occasionally drops out. If you need to have a TV, that might be a problem, although, personally, I prefer peace and quiet.

Room was great, dinner was yummy, great shower. May benefit from adding a TV especially for winter.
