Nine RoD

Really close to all public transportation options (bus , airport bus, subway are all within walking distance - 10 minutes tops). The room was clean and bright and felt very homey. The location is not in a touristy area so I was able to practice some Korean. :-)

I recently stayed at Ninerod and here is my honest review : ✅ Positive points The manager is extremely kind. He allowed me to check in as early as 12 PM (instead of 3 PM), and even carried my 26 kg suitcase up to my floor — which I truly appreciated. Another proof of his helpfulness: I called him around 1 AM because I had forgotten the door code to my room. Despite the late hour, he kindly assisted me without hesitation. The property is well connected and conveniently located near the airport, which is ideal for short stays or early flights. There are also clear instructions available for accessing the laundry service, which can be very helpful.

❌ Negative points Unfortunately, the cleanliness was unacceptable: I saw a bug come out of the bed, there was mold, dust everywhere, and visible stains in the drawers and on the curtains. The place is quite run-down and has a musty smell, which makes the stay uncomfortable. Although it is close to the airport, the property is far from downtown Seoul, which is inconvenient for sightseeing. The internet connection was very unstable, which can be a serious issue for travelers who need to stay connected. It was also impossible to adjust the air conditioning level, which may be uncomfortable depending on your sensitivity to cold.

It was very cozy and calm. It was nice that there was a hairdryer, a soft blanket, and personal care products. The owner and I were in touch and agreed on everything remotely.

The location is really good. It's near the bus stop and MRT station, surrounded by many restaurants and convenience stores, so you do not need to worry about transportation or food. The check-in and check-out process is all self-serve, so if you are an introvert, it's the right one.

The bathroom is relatively small, and the room is not thoroughly cleaned, but in general, it's nice for solo travelers.

The free laundry machine and the small fridge in each room are great. The kitchen is well-equipped as well. There's a huge Emart nearby. The place I'd originally booked was overbooked and wouldn't have me, so I found this place at night on the day of and the owner Colin was very responsive, and the self check-in went very smoothly (I suggest paying by cash because there's a 20 thousand fee for card payments).

There's a subway station not too far, but the location of the property itself is quite far from basically every tourist spot in the city (min 30min commute one way). I had a room on the first floor whose window is covered by a blurry/privacy glass pane and it faces a back alley, so there was no natural to speak of. The biggest problem I had was the length of the bed: if you're taller than 1.9m, you won't be able to stretch your legs.
