Samay Wasi Pisac Retreat

I arrived at the hotel very early, and Juan was incredibly kind to let me check in early and even provided me with some food. The lady in kitchen was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location is excellent, close to market and some good restaurants, making it easy to explore the area.

Location

One key opened two rooms and I mistakenly noticed when I was opening the wrong room. They changed me to another room but I would have preferred to leave to another hotel and receive reimbursement. They didn't want to reimburse me.

location near plaza market and small streets. taxi for the ruins turn right to main road. Outside space relaxing WiFi Owner had his own sense of humour, meant well. Really wanted us to have a nice time. Bedroom roomy with hangers.

Beds were uncomfortable, maybe new mattress and one bed squeeky frame. Breakfast..poor...given one egg, roll, slice of cheese and maybe an eighth of a avocado. Not as advertised in the pictures. Weak shower with intermittent hot water. Couldn't wash hair! No side light or switch. Had to get out of bed to the door to switch off light.

Bathroom was rustic, shower was dirty and mildewy, did not feel comfortable taking a shower in it, only 1 small roll of toilet paper without any backup when we ran out

It was a peaceful place with a super friendly owner. We had two relaxing days there. Room was clean and spacious. The garden was beautiful.

We looked for a place to recover from travelling and found Samay Wasi, which totally exceeded our expectations. The place is centrally located in the town of Pisac but totally quiet with a perfect garden to chill. The night was quiet and the bed was the best I had in 9 months of travelling. The owner was absolutely great. He packed our breakfast in boxes since we had to leave early, he helped me to pick my clothes from laundry when I forgot to pick it the night earlier (shop was closed) and he even went to buy a guitar when we asked if there was one so we could play and joined the jam session! Totally recommend to stay at this place!
