10/10 stay in Ahangama, what you see is exactly what you get with this property and some more! I’m of Sri Lankan descent and have been traveling with my partner in Sri Lanka and I know my Sri Lankan breakfast and food. Trust me when I say that this is the best breakfast I’ve had ever (coming close to 5 stars hotel with their buffet). Everyday we had a new speciality with large quantities. It become so iconic that I was sending my family pictures of the breakfast every morning. The host and their family are nice and little kid running around at breakfast become our favorite morning routine. The location is a bit tucked away from the main road which is perfect because it is very noisy and crowded otherwise. You are 3 to 5 minutes away by foot to all the main locations in Weligama. We were traveling by car and could park in the garden which was a big plus although the entrance is at narrow as it gets even for a small car (very standard in Sri Lanka). This place has everything you could need for a short to mid term stay: washing machine + kettle / fridge / cooking ustensiles + AC + fibre internet connection. We both brought both a Starlink and router for our travel and the internet in the accommodation was so good that we didn’t even take them out!

The family is so sweet and they will help with everything. Location is perfect and everything you need close by. Aircon, fan, fridge, little kitchen and even washing machine. Breakfast is a lot and so delicious!! I absolutely recommend.

This was by far the most pleasant and special place I stayed at in Sri Lanka. A beautiful, comfortable, and fully equipped villa, hosted by the most amazing family you could wish for. Shanika, the owner, is incredibly kind, caring, and helpful, and her children are the sweetest. From the first moment, it truly felt like home. The location is perfect — close to everything, yet quiet, private, surrounded by nature and greenery. The garden is lovely and peaceful, and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious. The room had everything I needed and more — a fridge, washing machine, and all the comforts that make a long stay easy and enjoyable. Shanika was always there to help with anything, big or small, with genuine warmth and generosity. Honestly, this is the place where I felt the most comfortable during my entire stay. I could have stayed there forever, and I hope to come back one day. Highly, highly recommended.
