A great opportunity to experience a 16th-century grand house in the centre of Palermo. This historic building surrounding a courtyard is like an oasis in the middle of the city. So quiet compared to the madness outside! The Donna Guia bedroom suite is seperate from the resident family's accommodation. Both bedroom and bathroom are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast room (for your use only) is vast and beautiful. The breakfast spread was vast too with a great selection of fruit, eggs, bacon, cold hams, cheese, and Italian cannoli. The private balcony overlooking the courtyard is separate from the bedroom suite - you get to it via a shared entrance hall. It's a lovely, quiet space for a glass of wine in the late afternoon. Donna Guia's location is in the heart of Palermo, close to the port, the Cathedral and a fantastic selection of restaurants in strolling distance. We parked the car safely in the courtyard for a few days which was a great bonus. Paola and Massimo are lovely, welcoming hosts too. Loved it!

It was a truly amazing and perfect stay. The hosts were extremely nice and helpful, and explained everything to us. Great people! The accomodation feels like a palace and the private parking spot is great if you travel by car. I want to state that the breakfast is truly outstanding and extremely delicious with a great variety of local food and dishes. I will definitely recommend this accomodation to my friends and family.

This property is perfect. It’s a close drive from the airport, it’s just down the street from a dozen bars and restaurants, and it’s walking distance to the street food tours, markets, the Cathedral, Teatro Massimo, Quattro Canti, Piazza Pretoria, and other popular attractions! It also has private, off the street parking, which is a huge benefit if you’ve ever tried to drive and park a car in Palermo. The suite itself is breathtaking. You have your own private terrace, on which to enjoy a morning espresso or evening glass of wine. The bathroom is huge and spotless. The bedroom is spacious, with plenty of room to unpack, and sitting space to work or relax. The dining and living rooms make you think you’re in a museum or that you were transported back in time. There’s even an elevator if you can’t navigate the marble staircase. The host and hostess are amazing as well. They made me feel like I was part of their family. Paola, who is a chef, prepares a delicious, traditional Sicilian breakfast by hand every morning. Massimo is right next door to answer any question, to give travel advice, and to provide suggestions for sightseeing, as well as bar/restaurant recommendations. The entire atmosphere is everything you could hope for if you want to experience Palermo as you’ve always dreamed it! I can’t wait to be back in Palermo, again and again. And when I do return, I will definitely be staying at Donna Guia Suite, a hidden Sicilian gem!
