Suite Apartment La Punta

Location and facility. The host Stefano was super helpful and sweet!

A fabulous base for our stay, very comfy beds, furnished with everything needed (especially Nespresso coffee machine!), lovely big balcony, great parking on site, Stefano made us feel very welcome with good communication. Good supermarket not too far away. We hired a boat to visit the stunning beaches between Cala Gonone and Cala Galoritze and totally recommend it.

- the positive: our host kindly sent us links for rubber boat rentals in advance and was available for messaging with questions and issues.

This was a disappointing stay in Sardinia despite being quite high priced and well reviewed: - the most important issue is from Sunday through to Thursday in June, a nearby beach club just across the corner was so noisy we could not relax or even talk as a couple on the terrace at night (from at least 9 pm to at least midnight; we had to sleep with closed windows so we cannot say how long the noise lasts). Our reason for booking an apartment a bit outside the city center (about 15 min walk to restaurants and bars) is that we have to put a small child to bed and spend the rest of the evening on our own balcony or terrace. For this purpose this apartment seemed perfect but proved unusable. The host sent our videos with sound to the police and thought noise was higher than usually. Even if the music was less loud the beach club would be incredibly disturbing as there is constant shouting through loud speakers to animate the crowds (which is way more unnerving than just music). We don’t think people who want to enjoy the terrace will be happy here. - the interior and furniture was a bit basic for a higher priced apartment. All our other apartments in a similar price range in Sardinia had more high quality interior that makes you feel more comfortable . - as a smaller issue, when we arrived there was no hot water so we had to shower cold. Our host did fix it while we were out, which we were grateful for, but as he said this was caused by a previous power outage we feel the availability of hot water should have been verified before our arrival. All in all an unfortunately unpleasant start of our wonderful Sardinia tour.

We have had a wonderful stay in the apartment, it was comfortable and well equipped, the sea view was gorgeous, we enjoyed so much our breakfasts and dinners on the terrace. Stefano is the most cheerful and generous host one can ever imagine, he provided all necessary links and even offered us the house wine that his family produces. Thanks to Stefano’s suggestions we travelled the most beautiful places and beaches of the Gulf of Orosei.
