Under The Castle

The host was helpful with great information prior to our visit and ensured we arrived safely. After that, we knew where they were if needed. Again very helpful as we left. It was away from the noise and hustle and bustle but only a short bus ride away or beautiful walk as we did. So close to the castle area which was walkable up steep steps or a bus ride if needed. It was comfortable, clean, well equipped and lovely place to relax after busy exploring days. The apartment is below ground so the windows are level with the steps to the castle. At certain times there were people walking past but with shutters and double glazed windows to stay private and quiet, however we quite enjoyed watching the feet walk past and it was only for a few minutes. There was a local spar within walking distance and a wonderful bakery down the street beside the Spar.

Great location, would be perfect for groups of 4 or families.

The entrance is a bit creepy and dusty (more due to the house itself, not the accommodation). Unfortunately no flatiron and board was available, but that is a minor thing.

Everything was great. The location is perfect, right under the castle. The host is very nice and stays in touch with you during the entire stay!
