Leslie's Retreat

The location was great. The condo was quiet and there was plenty of space to accommodate us. I liked how the rooms were set up on different levels and had two bathrooms. The pool and jacuzzi were awesome! The mattress in the main bedroom was comfortable enough to sleep on for four nights, but by the fifth night my old, broken back was sore. I loved the games, but only had time to play backgammon with my grandson. Having a great Internet connection is a #1 priority for me as I did have to catch up on some admin work during the first day, and the Internet service here did not disappoint, even when my grandson started gaming. I love how my daughter and her family could bring their little dog, Mosby. There were plenty of bedding, linens, towels, dishwashing liquid, trashbags, cleaning supplies on the premises. I loved that there are trails very close by. The Polar Caves are pretty close by and the Last Chair Brewery is an outstanding restaurant with an awesome vibe and great food.

I did not dislike anything, but there really should be some upgrades done to the condo. The electric stove is very old and the left front burner isn't working as well as it should be. The main bathroom sink drains very slowly, and the bathroom floor hadn't been swept. The living room easy chair is broken, and a couple of headboards in the bedrooms looked like they needed to be tightened down more securely, or replaced. While the tap water didn't taste bad, I recommend bring bottled water, or even suggest supplying a Brita pitcher filter for guests. I do recommend packing washcloths, as I couln't find any.

It was close to a wedding we were attending. The community center was good, pools, hot tubs,etc. The pellet stove was nice to warm the living room.

I understand this place is a bit dated but regular upkeep and maintenance is not being done. Let me share the problems: there were cobwebs in almost every corner. One of the headboards in the upstairs bedroom was about fall off. There were stains on the bedding and some of the towels. One side of the reclining sofa was broken. The easy chair next to it was also broken (leaning to one side). There were bugs in most of the curtains and fans. Dirty linens (I assume from the previous rental) were piled on the floor of the closet. There was construction going on and debris was scattered about. The grill out back looked like a biohazard. The upstairs toilet handle was loose and fell off( luckily my son is pretty handy and reattached it). The stove was pretty dirty, especially the drawer. I have enclosed several pictures to highlight the issues. Even though this was less expensive than staying at the Owls nest resort, in the future I would spend the extra money there. I would expect to receive a partial refund for the condition of this place.

How big is was plenty of room

The place wasn't cleaned properly there was a pile of dirt on floor like someone swept and never picked it up there was only ac in 2 rooms and one leaked all over the floor on the top floor there was stains on the sheets and dirty napkins under the bed upstairs and only other thing I wish I knew was that you had to pay to get into the community center for kids to swim the place was nice but could of been better if cleaned properly but we did enjoy our time.

The space!! Plenty of room for us, our two grown children with their significant others and dogs!

Location was good easy to find and easy to get to shops and food.

Home seemed a little run down. Some of the tiles in the foyer will pulling up the closet. Doors were coming off the hinges or not there.
