Flour Mill House - Pitkerro Mill

Very clean ,it is stunning from top to bottom , everything was there, parking was great .

The stairs, lots of them , the couple in the room at the top , had to use the toilet, and shower at the bottom of all the stairs, not convenient. If the room had a sink , it would be better.

Bright, airy and sympathetically restored. Good living space and was nice having sitting room upstairs. Bedrooms were a good size and place was very clean. Kitchen was well stocked compared to other places we have stayed. Games table was used even though we were all adults!! We had a small issue with the hot water that was dealt with very promptly which we were very grateful for.

There was not anything we didn’t like about the place but not sure if the adjoining property had been occupied there would have been enough car parking space. The outside space at back of property did not appear to get any sun which was not a problem as it was not warm enough to sit outside but would maybe an issue in summer time

Plenty of room, great location

En-suites only provided enough hot water for two people to shower in the morning the rest of us had to go downstairs to use an electric shower by the front door. Not ideal for 6 adults, and the home accommodates 9 people. The downstairs which consists of kitchen, games room, hallway, toilet and shower was always cold. The living room on first floor and the bedrooms on the second floor kept warm but the bedroom between the ground and first floor was cold and draughty.

Plenty of space for everyone and enclosed back area for dog. Large lounge area.

The various split levels were good but may not be suitable for some. The furthest away bedroom does not have an en-suite and the additional shower / WC on ground floor.

We were a couple of towels short which wasn't a major issue

The house is more beautiful in person and has been renovated go a high standard. The beds are comfy, the rooms are spacious and the living spaces are great for groups. We loved the enclosed back garden for our two dogs too - we went in Feb but this would be a great space to use in warmer months!

This is not something we didn’t like - but potentially a useful note that if your group has people with mobility difficulties and struggle with stairs it may not be the place for you as some of the rooms require a fair amount of stairs 😊 (there is one room with only one set though!).

Pitkerro Mill is an ideal vacation home for families. It's a cozy house with wonderful hosts, Emma and Marc, who were always available and quick to address any issues. They also provided great recommendations for activities. Overall, a perfect stay and very happy with the experience.

Commuting can be a bit challenging without a car.
