Comfortable and stylish apartment in quiet area downtown

The apartment is in an excellent location. It's within 10-minute walking distance of the downtown or the church. The apartment was clean and the temperature was nice. Street parking outside the house is free. The neighborhood is quiet which makes sleeping easy.

The apartment is a downstairs unit of a house with a few short stairs to go down to the entrance. It's a bit of a hassle with moving suitcases. There were about 3-4 street parking spots, but we could grab a parking spot in front of the house.

A spacious apartment that suited well for five people with a well equipped kitchen - just watch for the cutlery in the secret drawer :). Lovely views out to the garden and extra room in the winter garden. The apartment is located within walking distance to Reykjavik city and everything that has to offer!

Had a little trouble getting the key out and back in, but the host answered to our messages quickly and we found a solution.

Very modern, beautiful and clean. In an ideal location and everything you could need for ‘home cooking’ was there.

Very spacious and well located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood and yet close to downtown Reykjavík. We could walk in 10-15 mins to the rainbow street. The apartment was very clean and tastefully decorated.

Would have been nice to have some basics in the kitchen like salt/pepper and some cooking/olive oil.

The location was great, safe and quiet yet very close to major attractions.

Bathroom window lacks privacy. The apartment is in the basement of a house, shower stall window is on the ground level but curtain is not big enough to ensure privacy. People can really see what is going on in the shower stall. Coffee maker was broken. Coffee dropped to the collection bin not to the coffee cup. Plus, host left two capsules to a 4-person family of a 2-day stay. Really?

The whole apartment felt like home. Nice views in the windows and lots of sunshine (lucky for us the sun was out a lot). The sunroom with daybed was my 17yr old son’s haven. He was just thrilled to have all the glass around him with views of plants. The other 2 rooms were very comfortable and the kitchen was very well appointed. The bathroom was huge and very nice. It was a wonderful surprise to walk in and find it larger and nicer than the pictures can show. Location was perfect. 10 min walk to the water and shopping areas and less than that to the famous church and to the city bus station.

Nothing bad to report.

The place was beautiful, clean, comfortable and within minutes of walking distance to attractions and restaurants. It was also great value. The host responded to questions within minutes!

It would have been nice if the host left some simple necessities like pepper, sugar- a microwave would have been great.

The apartment was comfortable, a great size for 3 of us, and an excellent location for our needs.
