Beautiful Cottage in the Yorkshire Dales

An excellent cottage, very cosy and an ideal base to explore Bishopdale and Mid-Wensleydale one of the nicest parts of the Yorkshire Dales. We have used many types of accomodation but this is the best!

Lovely cottage in a quiet village attached to the house. Host easy to contact and quick to reply if any problems. None experienced during stay. Easy to access key sites in Dales. A lovely stay!

Had everything we needed and was very comfortable and ideally situated for traveling around the area

Location peaceful, the local pub Sunday carvery was excellent

A kettle would have been good as it was a kettle system tap couldn't get it boiling water from it

Beautifully furnished, clean wee cottage. Quiet and peaceful location, we loved it.

The Host was lovely, and Linda, your dogs were lovely too, we could have taken them back home with us.! We were met on arrival, nothing was too much bother, our host was more than happy to recommend places to go/ sites to see. Very friendly & welcoming, we enjoyed the conversations we had. We would definately recommend this cottage, it was very clean and tidy, we even had milk in the fridge & biscuits on our arrival. What a lovely touch that was, and unexpected.! If you are looking to explore this beautiful part of the world, this holiday cottage is ideal. A short distance away by car is Aysgarth Falls, with an amazing old traditional tea shop we can highly recommend, Bolton Castle is near by too. The Street head Inn is just up the road if you want food and a drink or two. Lots to see and do in this part of the Yorkshire Dales, Leyburn ,Richmond & it's Castle, Grassington, Beadale, and a beautiful drive through Buckden and up through upper Wharfedale to Arnclife. Lot's of lovely villages to go and explore. Also,a must trip to Malham Cove, Janet's Foss & Gordale Scar. All these area's are just a short drive from this lovely holiday cottage, we would highly recommend this cottage if you want to stay in a lovely little village and enjoy some peace & quiet.
