Hotel Liberte Kyoto Gojo

Location is excellent and the property is very clean

Not a true one bedroom apartment. The beds on in the kitchen area. A sliding rice paper wall separates the commun area (kitchen/beds) from a dining room area. You can push the furniture against the wall and install some futon to sleep on. It’s awkward has a set up, but technically it adds a separate bedroom.

Location was good and nice and modern

Pillows were small and hard, and bed was hard. Requested more pillow but none available.

Comfortable and a good location

The fact that the tap in the kitchen was broken. Reported day 1 of 3 but it was never repaired or contacted to suggest it might be !

Location was good. The hotel itself was quite nice, simple but had nice features. The drying function in the bathroom was great as we needed to do a wash.

The beds were hard and the pillows were more like cushions. All 4 of us needed a second pillow and when requested this was denied by staff. They would not allow any extra pillows more than the guest number. I'm still shocked by this.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here, especially room 303. There’s no staff on-site and no WhatsApp or easy way to contact anyone if you need help. The property is tucked away on a small residential street, which may not be ideal for all travelers. The room itself had several issues. Cleanliness was a concern—there was noticeable dust, and when we turned on the A/C, dust blew into the air, suggesting it hadn’t been used or cleaned in a while. The toiletries and slippers provided were very low quality. The bathroom setup in room 303 is particularly uncomfortable—the toilet is positioned so close to a small cabinet that your knees constantly hit it. There was also a leaky kitchen faucet, which added to the overall inconvenience. Overall, the experience was disappointing. I would strongly advise avoiding room 303.
