"A hidden gem, away from the main village. Great hospitality and food too."

10.0

This place was a find of the trip. A little away from the Du Gia village, the homestay is nestled amidst hills with a fantastic view to the valley below. The rooms are very nice and pretty much everything made of wood. They also have some farming land within the property which I guess they use for themselves and for the food they serve to the guests. Food is fantastic, and honestly too much to finish (and comes with a serving of happy water). The dinner area is a great place to meet other guests who would also normally dine at the homestay as it is a bit far from the village. Lastly, even in such a remote location the wifi was great.

Nothing to be disliked at the property. Only that it is a bit away from the main village, so you would need a scooter, bike or car for yourself to reach. But being away from the village adds to the charm of the place.

"Very good"

We stayed one night at this cozy lodge and had a great experience! Our room was really nice, with a full glass wall offering stunning mountain views. The bed was super comfy and warm—we had such a restful sleep. The shared bathrooms were modern, spotless, and there were plenty available. As it’s a lodge, the walls are a bit thin, so it can be a bit noisy at times, but it wasn’t a big issue for us. Dinner was delicious, and we felt like one big family. Overall, it’s a great spot for a short and memorable stay!

I was seriously impressed with the experience at this place. Given the remoteness of the location, the owners and staff have done an excellent job of providing quality lodging and food in a beautiful spot. My wife and I are old people, and I personally haven't backpacked in decades. We traveled in Vietnam by private car with both a driver and a guide, so I was somewhat hesitant to book here, having read reviews talking about loud and rowdy young quests, and there was some concern it might be a little too 'rustic' for us. We encountered nothing to complain about. One table of western backpackers during dinner maybe had a little too much 'happy water' and were shouting toasts and generally being loud, but they didn't go on late, so it was totally a non-issue. The food was first rate, much better than the four-star hotel we stayed at in Ha Giang City. The cabin was clean, comfortable and tastefully appointed with beautiful local woodwork. It had a very comfortable bed, an excellent bathroom and even a little balcony. I was amazed at how nice the accommodations were. The overall ambiance of the place, with the architecture, the stone paths, the vegetables gardens on the premises, was one of peace and tranquility. An absolutely lovely spot, one which I would not hesitate to return to. I wish we had stayed longer! I left thinking that the people who actually live there are fortunate to live in such a beautiful place.

There's nothing I didn't like. The place is remote and hard to get to, but that's exactly what makes it wonderful.

Everything, this was such a beautiful place to stay. The rooms were cozy with good heating, beds were comfortable with clean bedding. Good shower and amenities. The views were incredible. Dinner was great, they catered to our dietary requirements. Super quiet and peaceful. We wish we could have stayed longer

Can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

"Overpriced for what you get."

7.0

Staff is very nice and at least one of them speaks a little bit English so easy to communicate. View of the mountains is nice (although when you walk to the waterfall there is a lot of garbage in the village everywhere). Pancakes for breakfast were tasty as well as the fried rice for dinner.

Many holes and openings in the room. Our AC was on poor working condition and it was impossible to get the room to an acceptabel temperature. I was cold the entire night. Lots of dust everywhere on the room. Only one cup for tea/coffee in the room and no teabags or instant coffee. And one dirty cup in the bathroom next to the sink. Old dirty slippers in the room. In Vietnam we had so many better rooms for a lower price that this one is at best mediocre price/quality for me.
