Loudness of noise after we went to bed, rooms are directly above bar

A great stay. Very friendly staff, great food and drinks. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious enough for our night stay. Location is perfect and actually you don't have to go anywhere because downstairs they have good food (curry!!), and drinks. Will recommend this to our friends

Location is central in Alton, about a 1km walk from the railway station. Staff were friendly, room was clean and bed was comfortable.

Due to the age of the building and despite efforts to install sound installation, it can be quite noisy in the rooms, especially at weekends when events are taking place in the bar below and outside. However, if you're not planning on going to bed early (or want to enjoy the live music or events that are taking place) or have a good set of ear plugs then this shouldn't dissuade you.

No parking, room was awful. Toilet was really noisy.

Warm, clean, friendly, convenient rooms above a busy, popular and occasionally noisy pub, serving Alton's population. An easy check-in, a lengthy and thorough information sharing for guests that are separate to the standard pub crowd, sound-prooded rooms with caveats of noise expected until 1:30am on a Saturday evening, as the pub hosts a popular karaoke night - but giving this information at check-in means it wasn't unexpected.

No breakfast option on site, but staff gave recommendations for nearby venues, depending on the time breakfast was required. Parking is via Ringo app in public carpark, at back of the Market Square, charged hourly Mon-Saturday until 6pm and a flat rate of £1.50 on Sunday.

The room was lovely and cozy, with tea and coffee facilities and a little biscuit. The room was warm despite the grim weather outside, and I could open the windows for fresh air which is appreciated.

It was a little noisy which is to be expected when you're above a pub
