- The upstairs karaoke area was fun, and the kids enjoyed using it. - Having a pool was a plus for the children. - The host did attempt to fix some issues when we reported them (leaking toilets, broken faucets, broken door locks). - The property is visually unique and unusual, which may appeal to large party groups. - The property is very close to the Vin Pearl Theme park access, which was convenient for our group.

- The listing on Booking.com was misleading. We booked what was advertised as an entire 10-bedroom villa, but the property is actually a shared, hotel-style space, with the host and his family living on the second floor, and frequently present in the shared spaces. - The rooms are not adjoining. Parents in our group had to leave their rooms and go into shared hallways to access children’s rooms, which did not feel safe or appropriate for families. - Payment terms changed multiple times. At the time, the listing stated no pre-payment and that credit cards were accepted (this has since been changed on Booking). Two weeks before arrival, we were asked for a 50% bank transfer. On arrival, we were told credit cards were not accepted and full payment (~$1,500 CAD) was required in cash that night. - When we raised concerns about how we felt the property was misrepresented, the host’s tone was confrontational rather than apologetic, and we were told “this is what you agreed to.” We would have cancelled on arrival, but doing so would have meant losing 50% of our booking fee, which left us feeling stuck. A 10% discount was offered, which we accepted due to lack of alternatives, but it did not feel sufficient given the circumstances. - The property currently/historically seems to operate under multiple names (Vin Bath Check In, Palace of Armageddon, Pray Wish Hotel), which made it difficult to get a clear understanding of the place beforehand. Would recommend doing a Google search for all of these names to get a clear picture of the other reviews. - The overall vibe is party-focused, with strong religious and apocalyptic themes, and does not feel intended for families. - There are jacuzzi tubs everywhere — in bedrooms, lobby, pool area, and karaoke spaces — which added to the odd atmosphere. - Many of the beds were strangely covered in plastic.
