Shie is absolutely lovely and was always there to help during our stay. From great local recommendations near the house to an amazing breakfast every morning, she truly made our few days in Matsumoto even better. We would love to visit again very soon.

This was another highlight of our trip. Shie and her husband were so lovely and took such great care of us. The breakfast was absolutely phenomenal, and we loved their beautiful home. These were the comfiest futons we’ve slept on all trip! Thank you for making us feel so welcome — we can’t wait to come back

A very nice house that gives you an authentic stay with a Japanese host. It was clean and comfortable and very welcoming.

The travel to get out to the property is via bus or taxi if you do not have access to a vehicle. There are also not many dining options when you are out there. This is the price to pay though for an authentic experience.

Shie has a really cozy place 10 mins (by car) to the center of Matsumoto. We also enjoyed walking to the center (approx 30 min). Her place was the perfect little calm hideout for us in the midst of our 3 weeks vacation in Japan. Shie was always super helpful when it came to planning our days in Matsumoto, helped with checking schedules and came with suggestions on what to do - she also helped us book a restaurant. Her breakfast was lovely, tasty and colorful. When leaving after our 4 night, her and her husband even drove us to the station. Would recommend this cozy place to everyone who likes a relaxed atmosphere where you can feel at home.

Staying at Shie's place is like going home to your parents' place during the weekend. The breakfast felt like a warm and comforting hug. Chatting with Shie also felt like talking to an old friend. Best decision to have stayed here during my solo trip in Matsumoto ☺️

gute Lage, direkt an der Bushaltestelle, sehr freundliche Gastgeberin, tolles Frühstück, gemütliche Atmosphäre im geräumigen Zimmer, bequeme Futons, schöner Blick in die Berge,

Bad und Toilette eine Etage tiefer im Hauseingang, anscheinend defekte Klospülung, nasser Fußboden, geteiltes Bad und Toilette mit den Gastgebern - ist grundsätzlich in Ordnung, war aber anders angegeben.und nicht zum Preis passend. Insgesamt einfache Ausstattung, vieles behelfsmäßig Balkon ohne Sitzmöglichkeiten
