I nailed it with this property. I had concerns about the complications with driving into the upper city but so very happy we did. A little complicated driving in, maybe ask the hosts for an actual map because we lost internet reception. Once you drop your bags, the carpark was just around a block or two (2 min walk). Parking attendees there from 7:30am to 9:30pm (late Sept period, but check with host), friends had to retrieve their car at 6:30am for an early flight and were given a code to access parking so all ok to get your car out. The upper city is majestic and all sights including funicular (for sight seeing) were just around corners, amazing position. Bergamo was our last destination and I can’t emphasise enough how well located this apt was and definitely stay in the upper city. We had 2 nights and choose to spend it entirely in the upper city. Safe travels.

The apartment is located in the very center of the Old Town of Bergamo. Leaving the apartment, you can basically immediately easily explore the city and enjoy its benefits. In the immediate vicinity there are many restaurants, cafes, bars and all tourist attractions.

On the first morning we were surprised by the bells ringing in the nearby churches - this applies to almost every apartment located in the Old Town. On the second day you can get used to it.

Location was amazing walking distance to the UNESCO sites. The recent email is very well done, interesting vaulted ceiling and roomy comfy space for 5. The only reason i didn’t give 10s across the board was the lack of air conditioning. It was a typical August heat in Italy and being on a busy street the place would definitely benefit from air conditioning. Also the site should inform guests of the 100 PLUS church bells that ring all day long. I thought it was quaint and learned about the historic origins, but w 3 young adult children traveling with us, they were not as enamored as it woke them up. Nothing the host can do about it, obviously, but prior notice would have been helpful.

The location was right in Citti Alta, slightly off the main busy road, easy to pop back to drop off shopping & head back out. This place is beautifully appointed, stylish, spacious, 2 bathrooms. Very good shower. Nespresso machine with pods. No air con (air con condensers would destroy the beautiful look of the old town) but the stone build & the fans kept the place comfortable in June. Great communication with owners who let us leave luggage early & arranged for an airport taxi

Very close to church bells. We liked them, didn’t start too early & we didn’t intend to lie in when there’s so much to see

Great location at the heart of citta alta. Few steps away from piazza vecchia, you breath and live history. Nice apt which can accomodate 6 people. Clean and with great communication from Valerio.
