Suite Marco Polo

It was well located to exploring the town. Had all kinds of cool restaurants & bars around it. There was parking to be found on the street within a 5 minute walk.

The contact for arrival was complicated by the fact I didn’t have an Italian SIN. I’ve grown accustomed to WhatsApp texting & calling which if available from the host would have saved me standing in the lobby for almost an hour. Plus there was confusion over a charge for linen which was not shown on my Bookings receipt or mentioned until I arrived. Have never encountered this in all my travels which I engage in about 8 months/year.

Appartamento pulito, molto luminoso e grande abbastanza per una coppia, con aria condizionata e balconcino. Proprietaria molto gentile e disponibile ci ha anche consigliato posti molto belli da visitare. Molto facile trovare parcheggio non a pagamento.

Un po' distante dal vero centro di Pescara (10 minuti con la macchina). Cucina un po' povera di attrezzature (scottex, tagliere, pentola per la pasta) e assenza di scaffali/armadietti dove poter poggiare le cose (spesa, vestiti, prodotti).

Super location near the heart of Pescara. 20 minutes walk to the beach and city center across the river. Super nice kitchen and bathroom. Felt super fresch and stove/fridge was working good. Loved that there were netflix on the TV in the bedroom. Nice balcony with a great view.

But let's talk about some improvements. 1. Silverfish. Although it felt super fresh, there were quite a lot silverfish which was a bit nasty and uncomfortable. 2. There were no refill of toiletpapper and no extra clean towel if you want to stay there for a longer time. For example, I stayed for 10 nights but went to the store and bought some toiletpaper myself. And needed to use the same towel for all the nights since it would cost me additionally 4 euros to use the laundrymachine on the balcony. I just feel like at this price range everything should be included when it comes to stuff like refilling and changing to fresh towels if you would stay there for longer than 2 nights... 3. About the electricity. Got charged another 20€ for the air condition. I understand if they would charge you if it was overused when you're not at home, but honestly at this price range I really think it should be included without additional costs. Especially in the summer months. (I was there in late June-Early July) 4. Kitchen tools and dirty wine glas. A lot of stuff existed but the things missing the most were scissors, dishsoap, a fresh dish cloth, handsoap and a place to let dish dry without making the treebench wet. I sadly needed to buy dishsoap and pepper and salt. Sadly all the wine glasses were dirty which was a bit of a bummer, especially when you were missing stuff to clean them with (as mentioned above). 5. I truly feel like this apartment was nice and had a clean layout but I feel like it was never really cosy. It was missing chairs on the balcony and I felt like you could do a lot more with the space in the kitchen that could be cool. Maybe a small space for more than just two chairs. Maybe rearrange the layout of things. 6. Wish it had a small freezer.
