Amazing apartment by Opera house

Our internet went down so we couldn't get information about how to access the key. We rang the apartment owners phone number (Soya) provided on booking.com about 8 times but no one answered or returned our call. In the end we could not get into the apartment and had to forfeit the money and book other accommodation. Very frustrating.

Warning: do not book this apartment! The host changed my apartment at the time of check-in, sending me to one a 30 minute walk away, on the ground floor and close to the railway (I had to pick up the key at a mini market). This is not correct behavior, he should have warned me in time to cancel the reservation. The new apartment seems renovated but in reality the kitchen hob does not work and the shower does not drain the water, so it is not possible to use it. The bed had a blanket that didn't even cover the mattress. I messaged the host that the bed was not made up well and he replied that it was ok, (see Yoann's review from July 13, 2024 that had the the same problems). This ruined our holiday in Oslo ...

dirty comforters. blood stained sheets. ripped off pillows. no bathroom tissues. horrible experience no effort was made to replace the comforters or sheets. Please dont stay here

First, normal hotel services cannot be provided, the only means of communication with the staff is by messaging; check-in, check-out and key to be collected is via a convenience store. Besides, the actual address of the property does not match with the one on booking.com website. Second, it was suspected no clean-up was done, at all, before our arrival. One trousers were left in the cabinet. One unwashed plate was left in the oven. Our booking clearly stated is for 4 persons, we understood very well that there is only one room with a double bed, so we, the days before, advise the property owner we can accept to sleep on the sofa of the living room and requested bedding to be prepared for us. There is no response that it is not accepted, however, when arrived, the sofa is a sofa without any bedsheet, pillow etc. ready. When opened the cabinet no pillow, only one big cushion with no cover; dirty towels, bedsheet and quilt etc. all in a mess.

Was difficult to find. Had to pickup keys from a supermarket in Oslo and then find apartment which wasn't where it said on Booking.com 🙄 Didn't like how little we got for our NOK 😒

The location was quite central. The main bedroom was good and adequate, with a comfortable bed. The view from the 7th floor towards Aker Brygge was wonderful. Good kitchen - although we did not use it. Good value for money.

The third person struggled a bit to make up the sofa bed, the bedclothes were crumpled - but she slept well when we got it made up.
