Christiana’s Stone Villa

The house is well located with a very nice 15 minutes walk from Hydra port. We found nice Greek sweets on arrival and a cake :) The small port of Kamini is right down the house and even closer you’ll find a playground which came very handy with the children. We also went for a fantastic hike to Klimaki (other side of the island) highly recommended. We will come back, thanks again Christiana.

Not something that we didn’t like about the house or the island but for family it’s important to note that the streets / paths are not really stroller friendly. It’s recommended to travel with bag packs and baby carrier rather than with luggage and stroller. It’s paved paths and stairs everywhere which of course participate to the beauty of Hydra city. You can also get a donkey to carry your stuff on arrival from the port to the house.

The house is just 5 minutes by boat from Hydra main port. If you don't like the bustle and hustle of Hydra this place gives you a perfect retreat from the noise but still quite convenient to reach all the attraction sites by enjoyable walk, either along the sea side or through the alleys of tranquil and quaint mountain village.

It would have been better if the cost of boat pick-up could have been informed in advance. As foreigners we also met some local kids shouting at us with rude words, but this is something we could encounter all over the world. Be careful and watch out.

I highly recommend! Spacious, well equipped accommodation with a beautiful quiet courtyard. Our host Nikos was very helpful and Christina kindly sent on an item we left behind. The location is great, with easy walks to the port and lovely beaches.

The very nice welcome with an excellent cake at our arrival. The tranquility of the area.

Probably misread the description but the house is in Kamini, 20 min walk from the port. I was surprised on arrival. We took a sea taxi to reach the place and that was perfect.
