Upgraded to a room from a safari tent due to winds, which is a plus and a minus (I'll explain in the next box) Bed(s) were comfy, plenty of towels, parking was right out in front of the room. I expected the separate shower room, which was fine. The showers were nice and deep and the extra towels were nice to have.

I really wanted a safari tent, and was not told about the upgrade until I arrived, and no one answered the door or phone at first. Then I was not given clear directions over the phone where the "rooms" were located. I walked the whole property in 100 degree heat trying to find them, and had to call back to be helped. Once there I found the room difficult to access (keypad lock with 4 digit code unlit in the dark), cramped and small with a queen bed and a bunk bed, no tissue, and the window AC unit was blocked by curtains that could barely be held aside to let cool air in, and blocking people from seeing in. The door to the shower room, although I was given a code, was never locked. It was never an issue, just a strange occurrence. On my second day, I returned to the room to find the AC and fridge were not operating. Before I had the chance to call the emergency guest line, it came back on, but the breaker has been blown for a while. My room was warm (it was nearly 100 out again) and all my food and drinks were warm, and the freezer defrosted water all over them, essentially ruining the food. I did enjoy my stay overall, I just wanted the ambiance of the safari tent, given the price I was paying. The room felt like a downgrade.
