Oslo Central Loft Lounge

It was beautifully fitted out. The kitchen all worked well. Nicely decorated. Comfy beds. Beautiful apartment and we enjoyed the roof terrace and views.

The entrance way was very old. I had my doubts when I was going up the stairs until I reached the apartment. The roof terrace is much smaller than in the pictures and the lock doesn’t work so apartment was unsecure. Parking was difficult and expensive.

The apartment looks recently renovated and looked allright, the building however is quite old and definitely not renovated.

- For an early booking, the owner changes 200Nkr (approx. 16 euro) per hour, so we had to pay 400Nkr for 2 hours in cash at our arrival. That was very important for the owner since he repeated it three times. I never had to pay for an early check-in on any of my previous travels, mind you. Seems like a fair thing to ask when you know we had a child of 3 years with us who needed her nap. - At the time of our stay, it was 31°C in Oslo. There are nowhere curtains to be found, not even in the bathroom (there was a green plastic bag hung over the window, which attracts more heat), so you have zero privacy. Since it's a roof apartment, we were cooked by the end of the first day. We put some aluminium against the windows, that helped a little. Unless the owner installs curtains or airco, this apartment is not suited for hot temperatures. - The apartment is located inside an old building, which you will notice as soon as you set foot in the hall. Be advised that it's not located in the best neighbourhood as well. - We forget a jacket there. The owner was willing to send it to Belgium for a personal fee of 1200 NKR (101 euro's!!) 'for all the time it would cost him'. That's a total rip-off and quite unbelievable if you know we paid a lot for 3 nights (and then the extras for the early check in). Edit: your visitors should not be seen as cash cows. They pay a lot of money for a mediocre experience. I forgot to mention there's a television in the flat, but there's no TV-decoder or anything there. There NEVER was any mention of fans against the heat, why not put them even standard inside the apartment?

Nice location with groceries close by and wonderful deck for fresh air and enjoying the area.

It was very stressful to pick up the keys because our train was delayed m9re than 3 hours and the pick up location closed with in short window. The host didn't provide any alternatives so was concerned that due to the train delay we would not be able to get the key and would be left without a place to stay. When we arrived the dishes in the dishwasher were dirty so we were concerned on cleanliness.

It was convenient for the time we were there

Getting the keys was horrendous. The shop we were sent to didn't have a clue which keys were the right ones. We were told by the shop that they didn't have the keys for the property. Couldn't get in touch with the owner or booking.com. Took us an hour to sort it. Only got in touch when we enquired about the property on Airbnb. Wasn't the best start to our holiday

Light and airy apartment with outdoor roof area. Good shower. Walking distance of museums etc and lots of bars and restaurants nearby.

Only one set of keys. No blinds or curtains for the windows so very light all night.

Spacious, nice location.

Beds are uncomfortable and all the bedding and linen needs replacing. Spot cleaning seems to be done between guests and not thorough deep cleaning. We had to clean the kitchen, empty the coffee pods and clean the inside of the kettle when we arrived. The collection of keys from the local grocery store is less than ideal also.
