Sunrise Cabin at First Light Rangihaeata Retreat

Beautiful environment, nice to be only one there, great communicating about location, keys etc, nice cuppa facilities in cabin.

Info about walks very close by ie from cabin. In visitor book it mentioned a cave, unsure where that was/ how close/ walking distance.

Mattress was comfortable, views were nice, shower was nice

It was really hot, so many bugs even with repellent and mosquito coil, pillows didn’t give any support. Was excited about the use of bicycles but they were poorly looked after with all flat tyres and in amongst a pile of scrap wood. Couldn’t find access to the beach some more info on arrival would have been useful. All other furniture besides the mattress wasn’t comfortable.

La descrizione della struttura su Booking non era chiara ed era fuorviante: - la disposizione dei servizi all’interno dell’alloggio era parecchio scomoda: cucina all’aperto, la doccia + il lavandino in un edificio separato, la camera da letto in un edificio ancora diverso ed infine il gabinetto era in un gabbiotto ancora diverso abbastanza distanziato. - Il gabinetto era in un edificio privo di illuminazione elettrica (quindi di difficile uso al buio) e soprattutto di tipo compostabile (non dichiarato nella descrizione originale), quindi senza sciacquone. - la definizione di “struttura fronte spiaggia” non corrisponde a quello che qualcuno può immaginare (vedi foto). - Il letto disposto su un soppalco era accessibile con una scala a pioli molto ripida (non adatto per gente anziana o con difficoltà) - livello di pulizia della cucina molto scarso

Great character place, charming and fantastic views. Also very comfortable bed and bedding.

The quirky nature of the place was marvellous, the bush setting above the lagoon was splendid as was the birdlife. It was quiet and relaxing. Having kayaks available was a bonus.

Very tranquil location. Did not see another person whilst we were there. Beautiful outlook to the ocean, the sunrise from the cabin exceeded expectations.

The outdoor kitchen will be quite cold in the winter/going to and from the shower to the cabin. Some sort of outdoor heater would be a big comfort but understandably not very efficient.

The location, privacy, views, facilities were great.
