La tranquilidad

The staff is excellent, the rooms are cute and comfortable, there's really very little not to like. We planned to stay three nights and stayed five! The breakfasts were delicious and easily accommodated our vegan dietary preferences, though the fact that they are made fresh made them take a bit longer than some other hotels. Well worth the wait, though! The property is full of beautiful art and I would definitely recommend anyone stay there if visiting Musanze.

The location wasn't "perfect," it's down a small alley that may make some people uncomfortable (we felt perfectly safe for our entire stay). We actually walked from the bus station in Musanze in around 25 minutes and walked pretty much everywhere we went from the hotel. It would have been pretty easy to get a cab or motobike, however. We actually liked the location quite a bit, as it allowed us to also catch easy motorbikes out toward the Twin Lakes and the Dian Fossey Gorilla Campus. There were a couple of issues with the water and power cuts, but hopefully those won't continue much longer.
