Lovely property, fantastic location right on the water. Amazing amenities - pool, hatchet throw, bbqs, pool loungers, outdoor tables, just gorgeous...Wonderful host, very welcoming - loved interacting with her dogs - the bedding was fantastic and it was sparkling clean.

While the space was warm, comfortable, and filled with everything you would need during your stay and there were generous perks like coffee and tea and basic condiments in the room, we found that the kitchenette was perfect for warming up meals in the microwave and toaster oven, but we weren't able to comfortably use the portable cooktop - and eat in as planned - we're tall people (6'5" and 5'10") so we ate out most days.

It was as nice as the pictures made it seem. The furniture and antiques that decorated the walls gave it a cozy and inviting feel. The private entrance was a plus, and the fenced-in was perfect for my dog and relieved any stress I had about bringing him. The full kitchen was perfect for our extended stay. And the bede was an added surprise.

The cleanliness was lacking, especially for the price. The kitchen was supplied with cookware, dinnerware , and most any utensil we needed, but just about every dish needed to be washed before we used them due to a greesy film, dust, or food particles that were left behind. At first glance, the room seemed to be spotless, but a closer look proved wrong. From layers of dust ontop the salt and pepper shakers, to a couple long black hairs embedded in a towel or two, to discovering the amount of dog hair (not from my dog) we tracked into our bed when we pulled off the covers, or the discarded nerf gun foam bullet and used CO2 cartridge found under a chair I had to move to make a spot for the fold out cot, just to name a few. While I was very grateful for the fenxed in yard and the pet friendliness of it, I did not like the fact that her dogs weren't leashed. No matter how nice they may be. We were also cautioned to make sure to lock the back door as her dogs were known to open it from the outside. Though there were no interactions between hers dogs and mine. I was uneasy at the possibility. We stayed for 10 days. My mom, my boyfriend. And myself. During this time, we had to ask for clean towels twice. The second time receiving rhe towels with a hint of annoyance and the quantity diminished. The owner is very friendly and lives on the property, but in terms of a staff, is its sole employee. For me, this made it difficult to bring up any problems or issues i may have had during my stay as to not offend or bother her.

the only thing I would improve on would be to put lights on the tables so we could have played our cribbage game out side

The grounds are beautiful. Very relaxing. Hostess is amazing! She has dogs and brought our cat with us. She kept them in the house so we could bring Jerry outside! Looking forward to our next visit, if she'll have us! 😊
