La Villa

Incredible stay, would recommend to anyone looking in franschoek. Everything was perfect! The breakfast spread was fantastic and then they even had made to order breakfast on top! Heads up it is mostly vegetarian, but we didn’t mind at all. We stayed in two rooms (of our own choice)and they were so different, but we loved them both. The grounds were stunning, next time we need a day just to enjoy the pool. The staff was so sweet esp the night manager Noel. You could tell how much he valued customer service. He had a great pour for happy hour too!!! Thanks for a great stay, see you next time!

The cabin itself is magical , definitely would go back and definitely worth the money .

We adored our stay at La Villa - the views of the mountains are beautiful and the hotel is set in well maintained gardens that you can wander around in. We felt so looked after here. The pool is fairly cold for an autumn stay but we managed a swim still! We had an upstairs room with a balcony (room 3) which was great - no direct views on the mountainside from our bed (these are the rooms on the other side) but having the terrace was a great addition. The rooms came equipped with everything, a TV that has all the subscription apps available, a log fire, a huge free standing bath, well equipped minibar (for a fee). The lounge where you breakfast is homely with a roaring fire and gallery of pigcasso pieces. We had a complimentary wine tasting and cheeseboard on our first night which was greatly enjoyed and good sized (4 wines). The breakfast is a continental spread and then made to order eggs - mostly vegetarian however on our last morning they had bacon & sausages. The staff are so friendly, with a night porter too, who are all happy to have a chat or answer any questions. We stayed for our honeymoon and we came home one evening to rose petals on the bed & a bottle of fizz. We loved it here, it is so tranquil and will definitely come back if we come back to SA.

Everything was great and it's hard to give a negative but if we had to make suggestions - the pool itself seems to need a little refurb (some loose grates, plastering) but otherwise clean and well maintained. The hotel does not have a fitness area which we didn't necessarily need but if there was a gym pod overlooking the mountains I'm sure this would be enjoyed by many! The walk into town is short about 15 mins but if we could hire a bike from the hotel to take into town that would have elevated our stay too. Loved it, thank you everyone

Very friendly and helpful staff! Beautiful location and garden. Walking distance to wine tram and town center. Highly recommend to visit the Pigcasso Farm across the street.
