White House Farm

Elizabeth's hospitality was perfect.

A perfect stay. The room overlooked the well established garden. Very comfortable room, full of charm. We were very well looked after. Super breakfast, local produce, jams, fruit and a full english.

Nothing it was all super.

We had a really lovely break staying at the White House Farm in Cole Pychard. The host was named Elizabeth and she welcomed us with a friendly smile and we had tea and cake presented to us shortly after settling into out room. The accommodation was 5 star and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was beautifully presented with an assortment of breakfast choices. The full English breakfast was superb! Elizabeth suggested a few restaurants to choose and we ended up selecting the local Plough Inn in Stoke Lacey which is just 4 miles away.. The food was excellent there.

There isn't anything at all that we didn't like

The farm was very easy to find and there is ample parking outside. I received a warm welcome by the host Elizabeth, who was good enough to store some cheese in her fridge for me (as I had bought it as a gift for friends I was visiting the following day). I was offered afternoon tea in the sitting room when I arrived but I was keen to unpack and rest before meeting friends later that afternoon. Elizabeth showed me to my room, which was really nice, very roomy, exceptionally comfortable and well appointed. The en-suite bathroom had double sinks, plenty of towels and complementary soaps and an excellent shower. Cleanliness is clearly a priority too, as it was exceptionally clean. It is a beautiful farmhouse and the sitting and dining rooms are furnished authentically and beautifully, with views over the garden to the rear. The Breakfast was, it has to be said, delicious. A selection of cereals, yoghurt and compotes, started a meal which, along with toast and Jams, was crowned with a beautifully cooked English , with home-made sausages, free range eggs and cured bacon. It absolutely set me up for the rest of the day. The farm is in a charming rural setting, and certainly one to consider staying at if wanting a quiet evening or somewhere to to rest-up at, with home comforts, and a considerate and helpful host. I hope I can visit again sometime.

The only thing I could possibly think to mention here, is that with this being a very old building, sound does travel from the lounge area into the room above, where I was staying. I could hear conversations and the TV in the room below due to the other guests. And while this didn't bother me as such (since this didn't go on at any unreasonable hour), it is worth mentioning for those inclined to want absolute silence. This is, after all, a beautiful home and a authentic old Herefordshire farmhouse.

Lots of character and all very spacious. Elizabeth was a terrific host and very welcoming.

Lovely and peaceful location but only 10 minutes away from Ledbury town centre. Pretty garden and very comfortable guest sitting room. Great breakfast, plenty to choose from. Would definitely stay again.
