Tayta Surf House

A really calm and quiet place to stay with the best view on the surf ! Jerry is super kind and open and always available for anything you might need or any advice on things to do and see. I got the best sleep ever- the tranquility is divine! Plus, with a direct view on the waves you can see how they are and within 2 minutes be on the beach for a surf! So perfect.

Es un poco raro que hay que pagar extra para usar la cocina de gas (10 PEN por día). Quita un poco del ambiente familiar y hace que la gente no cocina mucho o en grupo

Location, view, great mattress, the host, wifi, overall vibe. The host makes you feel welcomed

Tayta is a nice hostel with a great view, good kitchen and chill out place to meet other surfer. The owner is very nice and helps you with all you need...

I thought the room was a bit pricey in comparison with other rooms in Lobitos

We had a great stay at the house and immediately felt at home. Jerry is an excellent host and helped us organise our onward journey. Bonus: the two dogs and cats made the place extra homey.

During our stay, we were surprised by some extra charges. There were additional fees for cooking and drinking water. We also requested laundry service, and at check-out, we were shocked to be told that the laundry weighed 8 kg, and we would have to pay over $17 for it. However, we are sure the laundry was only 3-4 kg at most. Would be great to weigh the laundry and know the price before to avoid such situations. Another issue was that payment could only be made in cash, which wouldn’t have been a problem if we had been notified in advance. Unfortunately, we found ourselves in a difficult situation at check-out, as there is no ATM in lobitos

Its pretty much been said in all other reviews but this place ticks all the boxes for a great stay. Jerry is an awesome host and goes above and beyond for his guests. He even took me to the local clinic when I got sick and translated for me. If you are considering going to Lobitos, this is the place to stay, period. If you are hesitating about going to Lobitos, don’t hesitate and just go.
