The Deodar Stays

The property is located at an exceptional place. The cottage was sqeaky clean with all necessary facilities. The staff needs a special mention as they were extremely welcoming and helpful. The chef is also quite skilled at his craft as whatever we ordered over 3 days was absolutely delicious. We are frequent travel and it is very rare to experience such great hospitality at one place. I hope they keep up the great work and we look to visit again in future.

It was a wonderful stay at Deodar Stays. I went with family and we had booked a family cottage. The rooms were big. Had two double beds. Beds were comfortable. Toiletries including dental kit were there. Towels and bed linens were clean. The view from the cottage was great. They also arranged for Bonfire at nominal charges. The food was also tasty. The adventure activities were nearby. Its inside the Deodar forests and you can take a stroll as well. Overall we liked the stay and will prefer to stay there when we go to Kanatal again.

The location is absolutely beautiful with cosy cottages amidst the Kaudia forest, overlooking the mountains. The staff is exceptionally hospitable and kind.

Having room heaters/ mattress heaters is necessary in winters as it can get very cold

The rooms are cold, but the manager offered an electric heather, which was working fine.

The lovely location,friendly staff and excellent food.The rooms are new,lilen was clean .Washroom was clean .The early morning breakfast in the Sun gives a great start to the day .The sunsets are fabulous. If you have interest in photography, you will have fantastic shots of the Higher Himalayan snowcapped peaks , lots of birds and butterflies not exactly from the resort but very close at a walking distance of 10 min .There are wonderful Deodar trees all around .

Winters have started and the guests from plains expect room heaters .Heaters are available but the guest has to ask for it .I hope the lawns and plantation work also improves by the next rains .

The stay was perfect, exactly what we wanted - to be away from any and all hustle bustle of the city life. We were at Deodar stays for 3 nights. The location is beautiful, with the most amazing views of the valley and mountains, skies displaying prettiest sunsets right from the cottage. Right behind the property is a forest where lies the most beautiful view of the Himalayas. You can see the whole Gangotri range with layers and layers of mountain scenery, the forest has many trails for hiking and cycling. Apart from the amazing location, both the staff and food are a delight! Rooms are super clean and comfortable. We have not heard a single NO from any of the staff for any of our requests and offered the best possible service. Food is so delicious, we tried almost everything on their menu and loved every item, special mention to Garhwali Thali they made for us! I think it's an ideal place for anyone looking to break away from city life or anyone looking to be close to nature! Thank you Rameshji, Deshpal ji and Chef ji for making it a great comfortable stay for us.
