Cozy Studio in Wimbledon

Great value for the money, in a calm neighbourhood. The washer and drier were a gamechanger for us since we had another destination coming and we repacked the bags with clean laundry.

It was clearly informed the location of the keys.

Ubfortunatelt we got 2 of the codes we were given on chech in. Moreover, what i didnt like on our stay was we were not given the matt between the bedbroom from the bathroom. Thetefore all the water which was still on our feet fell down on the floor of the edge of the bedroom. It was not so comfort.

Firstly, the location is ace. it is a few minutes walk to Raynes Park station and having off road parking was a bonus. The room is a good size for a couple but the facilities cannot cope with three people as advertised. The room was nicely decorated, warm and the shower worked well. Bedding and towels were clean and the WiFi was OK. Email communications when booking was made and with key-codes before arrival was good and reasonably clear, The kitchen area seemed well equipped with a larger communal kitchen outside. There was little or no road noise or sounds from other people in the house.

This is a tale of two halves. It all started to go wrong quite quickly when we found the third bed was a very poor futon thing which was not really fit to sit on let alone sleep on. In Sofa mode, it was barely 6inches off the floor and when opened up, it was difficult to find any floor space to put it. We booked the room for three people but there were only clean towels for two, some bedding for the third, no pillow cases. Having such a bad start makes you become picky so we found lots of things wrong with the room after that including cobwebs, cleanliness of the floors, no bin except in the bathroom, cramped bathroom especially the shower door having limited opening, not having enough or matching crockery/cutlery, chipped mugs etc. I know lots of people stream these days but I was surprised there was no telly (wasn't in description when I checked). We only brought our phones in the expectation there was a TV. Finally, I really dislike emails at the end of a stay saying I have to empty bins, wash and clean everything etc. I always leave a place tidy but I expect the host to clean the room and not depend on guests to do it! They aren't the only people to do it but enough is enough!

Check out was at 11am, but at 10:48 a lady came in and asked what time we were leaving. We were a bit late, I agree, and I said it would take another 20 min or so. This was the first time someone didn't have a bit of flexibility at the check out. I never had an experience where the check out was so strict. When it was 11:25, we were finishing packing the car and my wife was finishing getting ready but this lady entered the room and wanted to change the bed linens and started cleaning. She didn't ask if she could come in and she was actually a bit anxious since she arrived at 10:48. I understand check outs have a time but from my experience hosts are usually a bit flexible. Also, there could have been some pictures showing where the locker for the key was and the place was not very clean and had a few kitchen utensils.
