River Forest Inn

Price was great, bed was pretty squishy, heating/cooling worked well. It was good enough to put a roof over me ans my dog and keep him warm.

I think I got what I paid for, lol. Ceiling peeling, stained painting/decor. Strong scent of cigarettes (non-smoking room). Head board was sorta nailed into the wall. I think the bed was on palettes? The bedding/decor was outdated. The bed was comfortable, but I stayed on top of the comforter and did not use the pillow, I did not want to see the sheets. It was good enough for me and my dog.

They canceled my stay because they overbooked even though I booked weeks ago. They didn't cancel till about 3 in the afternoon that day. I had previously stayed here a few weeks ago and it wasn't that great of a hotel with hard beds and terrible curtains I was already in Belton and was shocked and stressed having my room canceled Luckily the lovely econo lodge nearby had a room at an even lower rate than I had planned to pay here and the beds were better

Office was locked at 5 pm for 20 mins with no indication of return time, and no one answering phone. Published number is voice directory that goes nowhere. Room was dirty. Toilet, sink, and sheets were clean. Drapes prevent people outside from looking in but do not appreciably darken room. No trash can anywhere.
