Riad La Rose Orientale Marrakech

Staff were responsive before our arrival, then friendly and attentive once we arrived. The location just north of the Medina with local cafes and restaurants was perfect. The riad is also pretty, even if hidden at the end of an alley.

Sad there was no bar, but guess being less busy there was no urgency to open it.

Muy tranquilo y limpio y lo mejor de todo, su personal. Lachné es encantador, nos recibió con un té, nos dió indicaciones y estuvo pendiente de nosotras (de mi hermana y de mi) en todo momento. El desayuno sencillo, típico y muy casero y rico. Las excursiones salen de una placita muy cerquita del Riad. Hasta la plaza de la Medina caminando, es un paseo un poco más largo, pero se agradece estar fuera del bullicio.

Hay que tener cuidado con la ducha, que si te descuidas se inunda el baño, jajaja El snack de la habitación (frutos secos) estaba pasado, incomible.

They are not the fault of the owners, but those who want to stay in the Riad should know that they are located in the old city, which at first sight can be a little scary for those who are not used to it. Here the access alley is well lit and quite safe.

A very kind host welcomed us late at night and saw us off early for our flight. He arranged transportation for us (15 € each way)and made us feel comfortable. The room was very clean and tidy. The main attractions and souks are within walking distance, and right next to the Riad there are two small local shops where you can buy water and basic necessities. The feeling of safety was high.

The host speaks little English, which made communication quite difficult, aldough it is still possible to understand each other. Breakfast is not as described in the property listing; during our stay it was monotonous, almost identical every day, served by the host: tea, coffee, orange juice, bread, butter, jam or honey, cake and yogurt. It lacks variety. The description states that the Riad has a restaurant, however it does not- there was no options to have dinner inside the Riad , only in the nearby restaurants.Also during our stay the weather was cold so it was very difficult to heat the room to a comfortable level. The breakfast area was also cold, the kind host offered us blankets for warmth, but it would have been more plasent to have some source of heating in the common area as well.

Todo en general, pero destacaríamos la atención, fue excepcional. Muy buena ubicación (en la Medina pero de fácil acceso).
