Shower rubbish. No spoons.no toilet roll

I lucked out in finding this lodging. It is within a few hundred meters of the Cluj's Botanical Garden. It is also only a few blocks ...downhill and then level... from the city's main square. I couldn't have asked for a better location! I happened to arrive at a time when the owner/manager had arrived so we were able to arrange everything quickly. I thought the common bathroom was clean and the property was well-lit at night, both inside and outside. I also think the neighborhood was safe.

I think this is a good place to get a room and sleep the night. It is excellent for this purpose. I suppose the guest should expect more of a "D-I-Y" vibe when getting travel information, a taxi reservation, etc. I suppose I was kind of expecting some assistance such as one might get from a concierge in a hotel ... but this location is not really set-up this way (and it shouldn't be, actually.) So, just be clear-eyed about what Casa Thomas Cluj is offering and enjoy it for that reason. Some of the frills of a hotel may not be available, and that is fine. Truth is, price was great and I am thankful.

quiet area close to the city, friendly host.

The room was unfortunately very cold, and there was no hot water in the shower, and it was the coldest week of winter. There was no internet connection although I had previously warned that I needed to work from there. The staff helped giving instructions on how to go from bus station to the room.

This place is in the center. It's a really good location. And the owner was very kind :) I like this places. You can only choose it if you need accommodation.

Location and pricing were amazing. They are starting so they are making a great effort to make a good experience.
