Peaceful Gateway to Island Creek Cottage

Everything ! Place was beautiful inside and out !

The views and vibe were spectacular.

I loved the location and the peacefulness. The host was very helpful and so was the manager. We really loved the game room and the theater chairs. I also loved the enclosed porch, it was right by the stream. It was very nice sitting out by the water, there was plenty of seating outside. And liked the different games that they had.

The scenery, the comfort.

In the master bedroom, it’s a lot of noises going on with piping. I suppose I couldn’t quite figure it out but other than that it was an a magnificent stay.

The inside of the home was cozy and accommodating. It felt like a home away from home. We loved the little details! The outside was breathtaking! We can’t wait to stay during warmer months and enjoy the outdoor activities!

There wasn’t one thing we didn’t like.

We had a wonderful 3 nights in Dec-Jan which included New Year’s. The location is wonderful - close by to good restaurants and two ski areas - but the immediate location on the creek is amazing!! It snowed lightly twice while we were here, leaving a magical look to already snow-covered creek and surroundings. We were a family of four plus a small dog and we all felt immediately welcomed into the cottage with all the friendly and thoughtful touches the owners have incorporated. There were even festive holiday and New Year’s decorations as well as every comfort need you could think of!! Nights by the fire, having a glass of wine and treats (thank you for the bottle of white and fixings for s’mores as part of the welcome), and playing games on the dining room table while we gazed at the beautiful surroundings.… we could not have asked for a more perfect mini-vacation!! You can’t help but think about planning when to return (and we will!). We own and manage vacation rentals ourselves - and so we really appreciate thoughtful and attentive hosts!! Thank you!!

Beautiful home situated on such a fun and relaxing piece of property; spacious and well-stocked with everything a family or group of friends for a getaway; great communication with hosts; nearby to many restaurants, country shops, and outdoor recreation

Amazing time in the water. Also, enjoyed roasting marshmallows with the kids.

No AC in the master. Got hot even with the ac in the living room down to 65
