GBLocation: This apartment is in such an ideal location for travelling around, being a 7 minute walk from the central train station. There is a great laundromat right around the corner, and a cheap bar to sit at right next door if you need to do washing. It's 5-8 euros per wash and 2 euros to use the dryer. It's a ten minute easy walk to the main restaurant and bar area of Catania. Apartment: The apartment was very clean, easy to get into, and secure. It felt safe and calm. The courtyard is shared with other apartments, but it was very quiet. There is no air conditioning, there are fans which do a little to cool you down; but it was hot! However, that's Sicily in summer. I would describe it as basic, it doesn't include anything fancy, but if you're looking for an affordable, safe, value for money stay near the train station; this is your place! Host: Communicative, clear, and nice. The ideal host frankly. Summary: I would recommend this place to people looking to save money, or who are travelling through briefly (like us!) who want to get to the train station easily.
The apartment is small, it doesn't have a lot of natural light (the bedroom has a bit), and it's not very cosy. However, this is fairly reflected in the cheaper price. It's not a negative as such, just something to consider if you're staying for a longer time.
