Cozy Studio in Reykjavik

I wanted a place downtown where I could walk and explore. I am a photographer and this perfectly fit the bill. Close to restaurants and coffee shops. There is even a small coffee shop half a block away.

Because it is downtown it was noisy on Saturday night, but staff thoughtfully provided earplugs. The shower was too small for me (I am 6’5”). The shower doors kept getting off track. I wish there was a small closet in the room.

We loved how close the studio was from the main attractions of Reykjavik! We did tours daily so the short walks to the bus stops were great! Studio was clean and simple!

It’s a busy area so it can be loud by the parking lot-but it’s downtown so it’s expected! We were tired after long tours and the apartment was so cozy that it didn’t matter- we slept great.

We did have noisy neighbours but that was not the accommodations fault

Best part of the property was the location, centre of Reykjavík and in walking distance so many of the city centre attractions. Quick walk to many car parks if you had rented a car also. Although we didn’t use the kitchen, the utensils and appliances provided were great. Couldn’t think of anything else you’d need if you were to use the kitchen as chopping boards, oven dishes, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid etc was all provided.

Only recommendation is a door mat, when coming in we tried best as possible to not trek dirt into the apartment but with no mat/shoe rack etc it was difficult. Not a major problem but just a thought :)

Loved the location, perfectly situated beside pickup spots for tours and restaurants and bars, close to the big church too. 10 seconds of rainbow street!

As with all of Iceland, the hot water does not smell good! Also remember to log out of Netflix at end of stay, as we had notification someone was still using it!!!

The location is amazing, right in the city centre within walking distance of all the central sights in Reykjavik. They keys were in a lockbox and the instructions were clear and arrived on time. There is a kitchenette where you can prepare simple meals, even a small oven to heat food. Everything is super modern and clean, looks like it has been very recently renovated, we were probably some of the first guests there. It was really warm and cosy inside. There is parking right outside the door but you can only park there for max 3 hours, after that you have to move the car. The price was good for the location.

Even though there is a small kitchen to cook food there is no dining table so you have to sit on the bed to eat or at the tiny desk where your face is just a few centimeters from the TV screen. There is no closet to hang clothes so you have to keep them in your suitcase on the floor. This location used to be a shop so one wall is just glass and it can be noisy. Earplugs are provided by the host. I was there for Christmas so it was mostly quiet but whenever someone walked by the window you could hear everything they said.
