The Mews Cottage

Great location. Easy to get to bus and train station. Shower was amazing.

The stairs were a bit challenging. Could have used handrail at top for going down. Some staples/sharp objects could be felt through the carpet stair coverings. Could have used additional chair at downstairs table and additional hand towel.

It’s in a good location tucked away in a courtyard and very close to the sea and train station. The lounge is a lovely, bright space with double aspect windows and lots of comfortable sofa space. There’s a good size bathroom with a powerful shower and everything was clean. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Overall it’s a pretty place and great to have a bit of outdoor space.

We were disappointed with the kitchen. It’s quite tatty, we had trouble with the freezer door as the handle was loose, the extractor fan didn’t work and we found the basic breakfast bar awkward and uncomfortable to sit and eat. The stairs are very steep and I think a couple of things could be done to make them safer at the top: put railings along the wall on either side to the bedroom and lounge and paint the edge of the top wooden stair with white paint to make the edge clear where the step has three sides.

Very easy access to Penzance. Mews Cottage has everything you need for a short stay.

It doesn’t get a lot of natural light.

Great location, and comfortable rooms

Quite cold downstairs in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom

Lovely property, very well appointed, wish we were staying longer. Super comfy bed. A short walk into town. Would definitely stay again.

As a dog friendly apartment it was perfect. Everything you might need was there. Location was ideal too as very close to the railway station.
