The Coast Suites

Exterior was nice.

There were bugs all in the room, it was inaccurate to the pictures, had to wait on someone to get there before I could check in, shower was dirty. The location was impossible to find for both myself and my taxi drivers, as well as nearby hotel owners. The windows were literally falling out and I had to push them back in.

Great value.

It was away from the hustle and bustle of the main area and close to the port. Communication with the owner was okay. This room is good for someone who only plans to sleep in the room a few hours each night.

To get to the main shops and restaurants you have to take a cab. It is about a 25 minute walk up a somewhat dangerous and steep street. You have to walk on the should of the road. There are a lot of cars and some of them are not careful about pedestrians, especially at night. The hotel offered us transport from the port which is about 1.5 miles from away We have a lot of luggage so we accepted the private transport. We were charged $20. We later found out that metered taxis charge $5-$10 for the same ride. We felt that was quite a mark-up even though the driver was nice and helped us take our luggage up the stairs. The room was very basic and there was no place to sit in or outdoors except for the bed. The pool is unfinished and has no shade. There were bags of open concrete scattered across the pool area and the chaise lounges were filthy. They also had some sort of bean bag chair out there. They were dusty and looked as though they had never been cleaned. We had to ask for cleaning service. The housekeeper would bang on our door in the morning. It scared and startled my daughter. The room was small so a light knock would have been fine. The place seemed to be surrounded by a residential area. We couldn't really keep the windows open because people could see right into our room even though we were on the second floor. When we did open the windows to get some air, here were ALOT of flies that got into the room. One of the neighbors had a dog that barked from sun up to sundown. The neighbor was very close so the noise came in the room the entire time. It was very unpleasant to be in the room at all, in addition to the fact that there is no place to sit. Overall this was a disappointing experience for us.

The property I booked was not open yet as the season was just beginning, so they put me in a lovely suite w/a private pool

The new suite is on a hill and a bit harder to get into town but a good workout!!

Lovely location, walking distance to the main town, with a fabulous view overlooking the bay. Room was clean with plenty of space.

Great space to relax by myself. Bed was amazing! Had everything perfect!

There were a few flies in the bathroom but I couldn’t work out if it was because the window was open when I arrived.

Great location to the €2 ferry to old town/new town. Great room and very comfortable. Great communication with host and very helpful. Great shower conditions and good pool too.
