Archi di Mare Apartments

Great location, clean apartment and very nice host.

Over all the apartment is very good and clean. The location is close to most attractions. The host is very kind and he is fun. We were able to use the kitchen. Toilets and shower room is separate so it was convenient if you are travelling in group.

It is next to the main highway and railway, from morning till night it's filled with truck noises and at night the train woke us up even if the windows were closed.

Everything was very good. Two apartments one with one bedroom, a kitchen and a bathroom, and the other with two bedrooms, one kitchen and shower and a half bath, washing machine, all in a single piece corresponding in the entrance hall. For our large family this was excellent. Kitchens fully endowed, everything you would need was there. Very clean, everything recently restored, the extra sofas in two of the rooms made us accomodate 8 people. And the owner, Domenico, a very nice person who told us everything about his place and Catania. The building is close to everything, even the airport is one stop away. The apartments are minutes away from the Palazzo Biscari, the fish market, full of restaurants open even at lunch, the historical center, the Duomo, the main street Via Etnea, university, everything. Catania is very nice with its history, antique monuments built by Romans or Greeks, the famous Bellini opera composer, famous via Cruciferi full of baroque buildings and churches, its piazzas full of life, and the Etna volcano rising majestously above the town with a direct view from.the marvellous park Villa Bellini and the top Chiosco della Musica. An oasis of palm trees, flowers, fountains and alleys, full of benched to rest.

The only thing that takes away all the charm described below about the apartment is the very strong noise of the street, impossible to stop, until late in the night, of the very crowded main street close to the customs and the port passing right in front of this building and under our windows set on the first floor. The windows are the old style and even if double, one can hear conversations, claxons, radios turned to the maximum in the cars passing by in the middle of the night, especially during weekend. This was terrible, We could not sleep too much at night.

very close to Center and train and bus station. very nice clean and well equipped kitchen. very comfortable bed. has all you need for your holiday even iron…

The location is good and the apartment is great with a lot of space.

The toilet could be more cleaned, and was smelling bad. But everything was good.
