Amazing view and very pleasant place

House was a bit cold

La vue est vraiment très appréciable ; l'arrivée autonome est très pratique.

Même si nous l'avions lu sur d'autres commentaires, le bruit de la route était trop important pour nous (c'est une rue assez passagère : voitures, bus)

The property was very easy to find. The pictures matched the unit. The location is absolutely amazing with a wonderful balcony and beautiful views of the ocean. The washing machine and dishwasher were well used. The off-street parking is fantastic. The garage may be small, but it is adequate for a mid-sized SUV (Nissan Qashqai)

We booked a unit with 3 rooms. On arrival one of the rooms was not made up. The host only corrected this the following day. As such we slept in a bed with no linen. Communication with the host was not great. I asked questions which were not answered and the host claims to have sent me messages that were never received. The shower had very poor pressure and on days with no sunshine the water was barely warm. The shower drain did not clear properly and the hand shower attachment was faulty. We had a number of rainstorms during our stay. The rain leaked under the patio door, and into the bedroom through the windows that did not seal fully. There were no towels or cloths to mop up the water, so we used the tablecloth. The bedroom curtains got wet and they may be a bit moldy as a result.

We had absolutely great time (nine days) at this place. Excellent location. Funchal is within few minutes’ drive or max. 10 EUR by Uber. Up to 1hr drive to majority of the popular touristic spots. Comparable distances to the farthest places in the east and west of the island. Great view of the ocean from the balcony and window. Comfortable setting. Easy communication with the helpful owner. Great value for the fair price.

I can't think of anything worth mentioning. The comments in the other reviews about the noise from the street and 'difficult' garage were in our opinion exaggerated.

Lovely views and quite comfortable.

Was a bit tired, and outside loungers were old/broken. Kitchen facilities were adequate but not up to usual standard.
