House of Flowers

English We had a lovely 9-night stay at House of Flowers in Marti while visiting for a wedding. Ketty was very friendly and helpful from the start. She kindly picked us up from the station when we arrived and also offered to drop us back off, which made things much easier for us. The place was clean, comfortable and spacious, with air conditioning, which was definitely appreciated. It felt private too, more like a small house than a typical apartment, with its own entrance. The kitchen was well equipped, and having a washing machine, dryer and dishwasher was really useful during a longer stay. The location is great if you want to be in the village itself. Marti is quiet and peaceful, with a rustic Italian café/bar with outdoor seating just down the road and a restaurant a short walk in the other direction. There are also lovely views across the surrounding Tuscan countryside, and the place had a calm, relaxing feel. For us, it was a great base to rest and slow down between wedding events. We were happy to stay local, enjoy the village, and not do too much exploring. One thing to be aware of is that if you want to explore more of the surrounding area, a car would be useful. Public transport is not very accessible and taxis are limited. This is not a negative about the property or Ketty at all, just useful to know when planning your stay. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and really appreciated Ketty’s kindness and hospitality. È venuta a prenderci alla stazione al nostro arrivo e si è anche offerta di riaccompagnarci alla stazione alla partenza, cosa che ci ha reso tutto molto più semplice. La casa era pulita, comoda e spaziosa, con aria condizionata, che abbiamo apprezzato molto.

I really liked this apartment. It has a very good location in the center of Marti. It is actually like a separate small house with its own entrance, not like an apartment in a building full of other apartments. The apartment has an amazing view from the kitchen and one of the rooms, overlooking the Tuscan forest. You can hear the birds in the morning — the perfect kitchen for a morning Italian coffee. The apartment is very comfortable and spacious, not like a small, tiny apartment. The rooms are big, with plenty of space for all our things and clothes. What was also very useful for me was the washing machine with a dryer and the dishwasher. The kitchen is modern and very nice, with plenty of appliances and everything you could wish for, even if you want to cook pizza or bake a cake. An oven is also available. The owner, Ketty, is a wonderful and very welcoming Italian woman. She speaks English, is always happy to help, and is very understanding of all your needs.

Extremely hospitable owner Ketti, replies fastly and effectively to our upcoming needs. New kitchenette, bedrooms and bathroom, whole house with comfortable furnitures. Amazing view from the terrace, convenient and safe parking.
