Tides on Hollywood Beach

The apartment was beautiful. Comfortable beds, Clean home, overall wonderful stay and experience.

High security. Pool, pool area, and beach were very nice. Condo was well stocked and Claudia was very nice.

Check in was a pain, condo a bit dated, no bath exhaust fans, big language barrier with employees, and the biggest dissatisfaction was with the pool closing at sunset everyday. We like to take a swim after dinner to relax and couldn’t even sit around the beautifully color lighted pool.

Location is good

We were deceived by this posting that stated “2 bathrooms with a bath and a shower” but the unit has only ONE bath no shower. We were very disappointed and would not have chosen this unit to book. We have stayed at The Tides many times before and never had this happen before. We feel we have overpaid and been tricked by this posting.

Pool and beach were great.

Place needed upgrade..Rust here and there ..unit smelled like feet.. Had to get our own toilet paper and paper towels...

great space, plenty of room to chill out. Big TV's in living and Bed rooms. Massive bed. Apartment had everything you needed, including chairs if you wanted to go to beach rather than the pool.

It is actually Ok but after a 10 hour flight the need to meet with Claudia and get keys was fine, but then you had to go to the office the next day and collect fobs and wrist bands to be able to access pool, gym etc. These are an added cost of $30 each. I really don't like having to wear a wrist band specifically while you are going out for dinner etc. if these could be made so you can take off while off site that would be much better. Parking is also a little convoluted, again you need to pay $40 for the pass on top of the fee to park.

The apartment was adequate.

You cannot access the swimming, beach, gym or other facilities without buying a 'fob' for $30. This means you have to spend the first day of your vacation standing in line to buy this 'fob'. Their rules were that for every two people over 14 it was mandatory to buy a 'fob' whether you wanted one or not. Our two children were not over 14 but we were coerced into buying 2 fobs anyway. If we didn't buy 2 fobs we wouldn't have had access to the facilities at all - the girl at the desk laughed in our face as she took our money - we felt robbed. Whilst $60 isn't a huge amount of money it was not a good way to start the holiday. Why not just include the fob in the vacation price so you don't have to go through this experience? The rest of the Tides experience was okay but very mediocre and clouded by our loss of trust in the staff.
