The Cottage Unit

We were traveling from Plett to PTA and needed a place to stop over and sleep for a few hours. They were accommodating, friendly, and provided us with a clean safe place to take a break on our trip.

The bathroom windows are clear glass so if you get out of the shower without a towel you are providing a show to whoever may be in the back yard. Some blinds or frosted vinyl on the windows will really make the bathroom private.

I liked that the room was clean and neat. I like the convenience of contactless check-in, as I do sometimes travel and get to check in quite late, and don't always want to bother people with getting the keys and stuff. The shower was spacious and the water nice and warm. I also like the fact that the bed actually had winter sheets on, as most guest houses just go with summer cotton sheets all year round. In the Bloem cold weather that was really appreciated.

The location supplied on the booking.com app unfortunately takes you to a different address down the road, or a block away. We drove around in a circle for about half an hour before I tried using the address the owner sent me on WhatsApp. It was dark and we were tired, so we didn't even see/recognize the right place although we probably passed by it like 5 times😅. My own fault for taking so long before trying the alternative, I know. But just bear that in mind. Other than that, no complaints.
