Entire Ground Floor Apartment in Watford

Not a lot…. Although will say it was good that they provided washing up liquid and washing powder.

We found the host quite rude and I had received a message from them at 4am which I find unacceptable. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and there was a dirty mark on the pillow. We found there to be a lack of furniture as the sofa bed was out there was only two kitchen chairs for the 3 of us to sit on. There was also cracked and dirty glassware which I ended catching my finger on the chip in one of the glasses. Not to mention that even though it doesn’t state anywhere how much it is for dogs to stay they will try charge you £50 per night per pet. We had two dogs with us so they wanted to charge £100 extra for one night! We have never been anywhere that charges more than £20 per dog per night. When it was already overpriced for what it is I think it’s disgusting to try and rob people of another £100. Also we felt really unsafe in the area and were kept up by noise. The garden was very scruffy and an eyesore and even had to pick up dog poo before we let our dogs into the garden. Until we had transferred the money for the dogs to the host they refused to tell us where the key for the patio doors were which I find to be quite petty and just made the situation more stressful than it needed to be, the host was also very belittling towards us and made us feel very uncomfortable.

It was close to where we needed to be.

It had very limited facilities eg. No tea towels, no cooking utensils, no dish cloth or paper towel to wipe down kitchen bench, micro wave didn’t work, very sparsely furnished, floors were not clean, not well maintained flat. The oven was dirty as well. It needed a good clean and some maintenance.

It was very close to a load of restaurants and bars, it also features a large back garden which was perfect for my dog. The apartment itself was a good size and nothing felt crammed in, me and my partner talked about if we ever decided to move that this property is the kind of thing we would be going for, and finally the parking having a front drive to park on is a massive plus and puts alot of ease knowing that you have a designated place to park.

Being really nit picky but personally I think the apartment needed some more colour, everything was white and it just made it seem abit cold, but again that’s just preference
